Prophecy of Jesus:
The shepherd will be smitten and the sheep scattered

Prophecy

Awake, O sword, against My Shepherd, against the man who is My Companion, declares the LORD of Hosts. Strike the Shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered, and I will turn My hand against the little ones. Zechariah 13:7

Fulfillment

Then Jesus said to them, “This very night you will all fall away on account of Me. For it is written: ‘I will strike the Shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’" Matthew 26:31

But this has all happened so that the writings of the prophets would be fulfilled.” Then all the disciples deserted Him and fled. Matthew 26:56

Then Jesus said to them, “You will all fall away, for it is written: ‘I will strike the Shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.’" Mark 14:27

“Look, an hour is coming and has already come when you will be scattered, each to his own home, and you will leave Me all alone. Yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me." John 16:32
